WATER AND GAS SUPPLY

Water is extracted from the subsoil from a well situated in the grounds of the house, thereby providing a guarantee of the quality of the water supply. Rainwater collected from the roof is channelled to the water tank and is also used. The electricity is supplied at 220 volts from the island grid. The expenses of both, water and electricity are included in the cost of the stay.

COMMUNICATIONS

The house has a telephone for both making and receiving calls, we will provide you with the telephone number of the house on confirmation of your reservation.

SECURITY

There is a safe in the house where you can guard your valuables, which in the case that there were a burglary, would be covered by insurance. We recommend that the safe be used to store valuables and that all doors, windows and shutters be securely shut whilst you are not in the house.

PORTOCRISTO AND THE SUROUNDING BEACHES

To get to Portocristo from Punta de Vistalegre, turn left at the entrance to the farmhouse and follow the tarmac track for about 1,200m, where you will come to the main road. At the right of this junction there is a sign which marks the track - 'Camí de Vistalegre' - and which is a useful marker for finding the way back. Turn left at this junction and you will reach Portocristo after just over 3km.

Following the same road, before reaching Portocristo you will see the turn-off, which is well-signposted, to get to the beaches of Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia.

If you turn right on reaching the main road, you will see signs leading to the turn-off for the beach of S'Estany d'en Mas, and if you keep going along the main road, you will reach Portocolom after driving for just over 10km.

HOW TO GET TO MANACOR

To reach Manacor from Punta de Vistalegre, turn right at the entrance to the farmhouse and carry straight on without taking any turn-offs, after about 2km you will come to the junction with the Manacor road at Cales de Mallorca. About halfway along this first 2km stretch you will come to a turn-off with a Give Way sign, you should carry straight on here, leaving the Es Rafal Podent farmhouse (easily identifiable by the rectangular tower which is the largest building on the estate) on your left. When you reach the Manacor Road junction, you will observe a sign to your left marked Camí dels Presos (The Prisoners' Track), which will serve as a marker for your return journey. The name of the track comes from the Republican prisoners who were forced to build it in the first half of the twentieth century under Franco's dictatorship. Turn right at this junction and you will reach Manacor after following the road for about 6km. Shortly before reaching Manacor you will pass Torre dels Enagistes on the left-hand side of the road, which houses the Manacor Museum.
